[Official XenoBot Lottery] Ferumbras Hat & More!

Greetings,
Welcome to the very first XenoBot Ferumbras Hat lottery! I've been wanting to do this for a long time, and have finally managed to get my hands on a hat to get the lottery started. If it goes well, you guys can look forward to similar lotteries in the future.

Lottery Setup:
- The lottery will have 200 tickets (give or take 5 as the process of handing out tickets will not be fully automated, and I'll have to do some by-hand counting).
- The ticket numbers are assigned chronologically. There will be no choosing of tickets, as I'll automatically pull transactions from the database and order them by date.
- Tickets will be $12.00 each. This makes sure that I'm able to pay all of the taxes and fees on the cash and still have enough to sponsor the lottery.
- There will be one ticket per account. If you want to buy more tickets, you must make more accounts.
- The draw will be done live on stream. I'll write a program to do the draw and do it live on stream.
- Tickets will stop selling on Friday, August 8th. Or whenever 200 have been sold.
- The drawing will happen soon after all tickets are sold.
- No XenoBot staff is allowed to enter.
Lottery Prizes (cash prizes are on pvp or non-pvp, and are subject to stock):
1. Ferumbras' Hat (and a transfer to any pvp or non-pvp server that isn't blocked)

I agree 100%, these prices are not even close to $2200. Feru hat is 1500-1600 tops, 55kk is easily bought for 330~ and I doubt the xenobot licenses makes up for the missing $270.

In my opinion a lottery shouldn't be held for you to profit, it should be to give back to the community. I will therefor not be purchasing a ticket at a whopping $12 when the rewards are worth $1900 total spread amongst 200 tickets.

I like the rule about 1 ticket per account, maybe it should even be per computer if possible. The economy of each person shouldn't effect who wins.

XenoBot is a registred business that makes over 5000$ annually on PayPal, which means I have to pay taxes. In particular, I have 34% tax on all XB profits. PayPal also takes a $.77 fee on each transaction. This works out to a total income of:

200 * (12.00 - .77) * .66 = $1482.36

This isn't counting tax deductions that can be filed, however. Keep in mind that I just paid $1640 for the hat, and the payment method I used isn't tax deductible. So, if we work out taxes with the assumption that I can only deduct taxes from the gold and world transfer (a total of $360), here is the final result:

200 * (12.00 - .77) = $2246.00
(2245 - 360) * .66 + 360 = $1604.1

So even if you count tax deduction, I am only getting $1600, after putting in $2000. I'm paying money for this lottery, but I'm okay with that because it is for publicity.

tl;dr; if you want to play math, learn how business accounting works.

Wu is red flagged cause it could mean you're laundering. But I don't see why you couldn't write this off you're not using wu for it

I can't write off money as expenses unless I have a receipt, and WU receipts are bad news.

Anyways, this isn't a place to discuss small business finance. If anyone thinks I'm doing this for profit, they can just not enter. I'm okay with that.

1. already has access to multiple account with Ferumbras hat.
2. Hes from Texas.
3. He has no char, and if won, he will put it on low lvl to troll.
