Syntax

Custom Tibia .Pic (Black Skin)

Browsing through backups after a request was made I found this old skin. Updated to work with latest client.

Isn't there any old skins from like Tibia 7.1? Old MMS, runes, crown set, DSM and other EQ etc etc?

Those are sprites, and yes you could replace old sprites in to the new spr.

Hi Syntax do you mind telling me where I can find the pic editor you are using? I tried the ones I could and nothing ... I would be so happy if you could provide me with a pic editor.. or if you can simply modify a client with this..

I modded this for the current client but when I compile it the magenta shows and if i put the magenta white it shows white i have no clue what I'm doing wrong..

P.S. the image quality is really poor, So I'll provide you with a better quality one :)

I use troopers pic editor and photoshop. You can't use Microsoft Paint because they don't support transparency (when you save: transparency -> white)

You should use no color at all, it should be translucent.

no. it doesn't matter what pic file you have.
the scrollbar will look weird if its smaller then the default one though.

All you need to do to update the skin to work with a new client is edit the hex values at the beginning of the file, the first 4 bytes to be precise. Open this skin and the current client skin (.pic) in a hex editor and change the first 4 bytes of this skin to match the first 4 bytes of the current client skin (.pic). Of course, there probably was no change in the 9.70 skin (.pic) so the values should be the same, but when a major update (Summer/Winter) comes out that does, you'll know what to do. :)

@Jo3Bingham, usually when people need it updated it's after they add a lot of stuff to it. AFAIK they've never shifted anything around, but it still looks hella ugly when it's not all uniform. I think I updated this one from 8.1? Around there.
