This is just me thinking aloud so feel free to chime in with ideas, I'm willing to listen.

While I certainly never liked the selling of scripts I do see it as a viable market and come to terms that it's not going away.
That being said my goal with lualand was to deter people from having to buy scripts, now I will try to balance creating and selling.

The main focus of the marketplace will be user based. This will work similar to the app markets you see.

Seller adds his script -> sets the price -> script is shown in the list -> buyers purchases script -> fees are taken out (by lualand & paypal) -> seller receives money & buyer receives script

All of this would be instant and the site itself would act as a middleman.

This service will be first applied to scripts, but I plan on extending it to characters and possibly gold trading in the future.
These would also be automated.

Thoughts, comments, concerns?

As for paying with tibia cash It could be possible with the scripting functionality of xenobot. "Eventually"

It's not needed in my opinion as there are tons of sites you can automatically let the customer download a file after paying. Another problem would be the chargebacks.
And paying via tibia cash wouldn't be possible.

One more wouldn't hurt, the transaction fee would most likely be lower. Chargebacks will be taken from the sellers ofc but if they chargeback they will lose access to that download meaning future updates (you have the issue of chargebacks no matter what you use). I can also ban that user's paypal from the site if the seller provides enough information.

Actually paying automatically with Tibia Cash is possible at the moment with a setup I have, but I don't have characters on all the worlds.

Is there any kind of protection from the server, anything that could prevent the user from sharing the script with friends and etc? In Neobot we were close to make it possible to link the script with an account, so that I could only be used on the bot's account it was assigned to, do you plan anything similar?

This would either require cooperation with @DarkstaR or a separate program. Though as you know anything can be cracked.

Yes, I guessed you could try something with @DarkstaR. Even if it could be cracked, any extra protection is worth something, especially because it did involve a reasonable amount of money.

There's always those scripters who don't have a credit card and would be paying through PayPal with the money they got from their scripts.

Prefering paypal since It's the way I handle the money online atm... Just my cent
