When I use Xenobot, it wants me to change my hardware ID, even though I'd assume that on the same PC it'd have the same ID, and I boot into Windows more often though I'd like to make the shift over to Ubuntu.

For some reason, it didn't seem as nice running the bot on Windows. IDK why.
I really do think that the same PC should be able to use the bot despite of the operating system or fresh installs of windows?
Anyone wanna sign on that and maybe get it implemented? =P
I also have graphical issue's in Linux, I assume it's because I never installed my gfx card and it's a AMD and I've heard they don't work particularly well with Linux. I think it should be allowed but I'm unsure if it's easy for Nick to check it as I presume it comes up with a different ID, I find it annoying as I have 2 OS' now on my PC and my laptop which I use constantly, but if he allowed for multiple keys then you could basically just buy one key and request more for your friends, not an easy way to solve it sadly
Too much crap to sift through. I know everyone is loyal to a different distro/flavor so I don't want to start a war, but just know that Ubuntu is *not* light, and furthermore they've taken a weird direction with Unity. Whether or not you like it, the closedness of it is aggravating.
I recommend Lubuntu or Mint.

I'm not really "loyal" to anything really =P Also, I had corrected myself and said it's light compared to windows, which most people on the forum use. My windows, for example, used 60gb on its own (before I cut it down to about 16-20).
Also, I hate LXDE (looks too much like windows, I find the way Ubuntu looks pretty calming) and I don't think mint looks nice at all.
I have a computer that can run 3X of anything, I figured the little bit extra Ubuntu adds on won't hurt too much. It does look the best after all =P
The issue with letting the bot run on duel boots and etc is that someone can just run a VM and have the bot running, essentially they can just install it on a "server" and use it on any pc's. (This is assuming a lot about the bot that I don't know for sure regarding the hardware id's. ;p )
And uh, i'll be testing this really soon (leaving for "vacation" today. ) yay.
Also, this is kind of a side question... What do you guys think THE best version of Linux is currently? I need to adapt to it for school but it mostly seems like a pain... haha. I've heard great things about Ubuntu however. ^.^

It really depends on what you like best. If you want an extremely light but (in my opinion) ugly one, go with Mint, Arch Linux, etc.
I prefer Ubuntu because it runs really well, looks great, and it's very easy to learn to use if you're new to it.
Go with Ubuntu. Then, if you don't like it, change.
