I can't provide a source for him but if you look at the new features that 3 years we did not have, world transfer 30$, premium scrolls can be sold ingame so is like buying tibia gold but 100%safe, gifts when buying long premiums at certain time (mounts) they might have lost players but they found other ways to make money and am sure they will find more ways

so with less player cipsoft probably is making same money as when tibia was in its peak

yes most botters have 3-4 accounts all premiums and buying scrolls from fair players and fair players buying scroll from cip it's all a food chain, now lets wait until cip starts selling addon items in their page for a few $$

No company would intentionally send itself to bankruptcy unless it was the only remaining option. The google results do prove that searches have decreased, but I consider that to be more of an emerging market showing itself. Things like twitter, facebook, and other social networks will counteract the requirement for google (there are more sources of hits, so google is less relevant). Could also note that 2007 was the start of the biggest recession ever to have impacted Europe. Also google adsense, which Tibia does use, dropped some multiple registers in 2007, Google also reduced some inefficiency in their monitoring scripts, so probably had some impact.

Tibia is getting more popular though, what with the new "test" servers bringing a lot more players, and the growth in optional PVP servers, there have been a definite increase in online players.

Olympa, for instance, has 500 people online at the minute. Secura has 750 or so. Aurora has 1150, Aurera has 950, and Antica has 600. Pacera has 700, Unitera 600... All these servers will reach a daily amount of at least these numbers, and on weekends it's not uncommon for there to be a waiting list for the option PVP ones. This demonstrates that in spite of your server having few people online, there are still a lot of servers which hold high amounts of players.

On top of that, the Polish community is one which often demonstrates strange habits in their gaming. Not entirely sure why, but a lot of people from Poland tend to search during downtime, meaning their hits don't get registered on google, this is normally late evening and early morning (11pm until 4am). At least once a week google experiences this downtime. Poland is the biggest market for Tibia, their highest hits come from there and as do most of the players.

I whish they merge empty servers anytime soon. I'm getting tired of playing on a 130 people server and transfers are quite expensive.
