Heres an idea which might move things forward a little, a developer account.
What's different from normal account? Basically as a developer account you are able to use 2 copies of the bot at a slightly reduced rate. It costs $8 per month (or thereabouts) and only one copy of the bot can be running at once (You can't be botting on one PC whilst making scripts on another, for instance).
Why? Folks like myself have several computers... I have one which is running all day, and I use it for my main developing and what not. I also have a second PC, which I use for little more than surfing the internet at the minute. My developer PC is capable of handling a lot more than I'm currently doing on it. It runs at about 0.6kWh under "normal use", and that gets expensive if you leave it on all day & night. That means each day I'd use 14.4kWh, or £2.88 per day in electricity (at a rate of £0.20 per kWh). That's £86.40 a month. My second PC is a low power consumption machine. It uses about 0.2kWh under "normal use", so £28.80 per month. I could make a massive saving by being able to bot on my second PC, and just use my main PC for scripting. I'd rather give you a portion of the money, than give it all to the energy company. I should point out that I outright refuse to script on my second PC, it is horrible for that as it is effectively a laptop.
So, thinking realistically, I don't think this will do any harm to the sales etc, but it would allow people to use 2 copies of the bot on seperate PCs, as a developer style account. It would save a little money for those who have to buy two licenses due to having two homes, and it would bring in some extra revenue from those who would like to use it.
Opinions?
