Default/safe list alarm - Make botting safer and combat CM'S

MY "SAFE LIST/DEFAULT ALARM SUGGESTION:

I heard from community boards from that bloodyedge guy or something that a CM came to him and talked to him, first by saying "Hi" then replying with "Thanks for answering".
They could after "X" amount of reports pay you a visit, and simply try to speak with you, therefore if you add a "Default message" alarm, that could help us to respond to people asking us questions.

Pros:

• People who bot, but are at the pc or in the same room with alarms on can quickly respond to default message alarms.
• It could stop some people from reporting you if you answer them "how long" instead of just saying nothing.
• If a CM asks "Hi" hopefully it will work the same way as a normal player, and thus set the alarm of and stop you from being banned. (assuming you respond)
• Just another alarm/safety feature which may swing peoples vote into buying Xeno thus increasing market.

Cons:

• There doesn't seem to be a "safe list" list at the moment, therefore players who use spells around you such as "healing/haste" may trigger the alarm, which could be very annoying for people hunting spawns with others inside.
• Upon depositing/restocking the alarms may go crazy.

Suggestion -

1. Make an option so that when you right click a player you can "add to safe list", this way it is quite easy to just quickly add someone who you know may pass through regularly, is also botting in the cave as you, is a friend, or simply isn't someone who will attack you.
2. Now only "new players" to the cave will trigger the alarms, most likely asking "how long". If you reply, you'll likely avoid a report.
3. Simply make a lua function and label in the wpts that will "disable default alarm" and "enable default alarm" when leaving/entering the spawn to avoid the alarm being set off in town (CM can visit you in town, but that's the risk you take).
4. (I'm also just assuming the CM's are paying visits to people, I'm not saying this is confirmed, but why not be pro active?

I also think that if a new section called "safe list" could be added.
Every player you add to the safe list will be displayed here, you can edit the way you want the safe list to operate here such as only trigger the alarm if:

• Default Message
• Player Attack
• Private Message
• Player Detected

This way we can make each individual slightly different, Example:

• Player 1 hunts here in the same cave, so I want to add him to the safe list so he does not trigger my player detected or message alarms, however I do want him to trigger my player attack alarm.
• player 2 is an enemy and I wish to have him set off all alarms, especially player detected. (Maybe not private message, cos all they do is trash talk)

Player 1:

Default Message [] - False

Default Message [x] - True

Player Attack [x] - True

Player Attack [x] - True

Private Message [] - False

Private Message [] - False

Player Detected [] - False

Player Detected [x] - True

This way, over time we can bot longer and longer without the alarms going off, until we are at a stage where only intruders, question askers, or possibly CM'S will be setting them off.
Some may argue that we should have a "safe list" and an "enemy list", I think though we should only have the one "safe list" and you can edit each player exactly how u like inside. (reduces clutter, no need for 2 tabs)

END RESULT:

• You can now walk into a spawn with the default alarm on, so that anyone who enters will trigger it if using a spell or asking a question. - This is good for claimed spawns such as zao dl's or water elementals (Spawns where u hunt alone)
• If you're in Liberty bay rotworms, you can add the other botters to safe list, so that they will only trigger player attack alarms, rather than ur default messages etc - But still have other people trigger all alarms.
• Botting should be and can be a lot safer if you set the alarms correctly

Also, enable the safe list to be SAVED so that you can load it on all profiles if wanted.

NOTE: I know that this can be done in the form of a LUA... It would be much easier to configure it and edit it "on the move" using the XenoBot interface whilst "in game" rather than opening ur notepad++ and editing several lines.
Using this as a LUA will:

1. Expand margin for error.
2. Be more difficult for the majority of users:
3. Be over seen by many users who aren't as LUA friendly.
4. Ignored by many users who are too lazy to search and find LUA scripts (their problem, but I think it should be a function on the interface).

People are gettin spooked out of just rumors, we're not even sure CMs are really goin' around doin this sort of thing, and even if they do, it's not like they'll be happy with a "Hi", I remember back in the day; several times GMs asked me to solve a simple multiplication or to count from 1 to 10 or backwards, ahh sweet old days.

This one time, I was MCing 2 knights in Draconia and the fucker asked me to count from 1 to 10 with 1 char and backwards with the other, I was nervous and got owned lol.

Anyway what I mean is that we dont even know if this is for real and even if it is, and I'm saying this out of experience, anything you might respond aint gonna do it unless you happen to be infront of the computer at the time & do it yourself.

This is not just a security measure against CM'S being on ur screen, this can be a measure to avoid reports, avoid pks, and notify u when intruders are in ur spawn (trashing loot, taking exp etc)

Back to topic, this is way to general, people will report you even if you answer them, let it by cause you KS them and cant avoid it, or by the lone fact that they dont like you're in their hunting spot, IMO a simple alarm triggered by any name with GM, CM and the like and an auto stop should be enough, this is a little too elaborate for the equally random result that is being around the computer or not.

Then again if this can be in fact done with LUA, it'd be nice for botted mains, but well, I wouldnt like life in my house to turn into paranoid city for a simple "just in case".

Also, if you ever used neobot then you would realise how amazing my suggestion actually is, and how spectacularly it can be used.

Example: I'm hunting in water elementals, i don't want no1 in my spawn, u enter, u die, simple.

I have "default message" as an alarm, so as soon as someone uses a spell, or says "hi" or something near me, it will alert me.
They could either be ksing me cretaures, or trying to hunt in my spawn, so I'll be able to know whent hey use haste or heal on my screen, i will then deal with them.

Or, if I'm in SS goroma with 1 other person, I add them to my safe list, and then anyone else other than that person, will be detected and dealt with.

It shouldn't be made in the form of .LUA, things made in forms of LUA when they would be better used on the interface is pathetic IMO.


For example, there is a mas res and creature heal alarm atm... It's currently in the form of a .LUA.
Not many people use it unless it's a major issue because the majortiy of people aren't good at LUA and try to avoid it.

Why not just make it a tickable option in the alarms, as all the others are? With a simple box to change your heal% variable.
It's about making the bot simpler, and adding all the useful features to the bot.... That's how ur gna expand your customer base here, not by LUAS that people have to spend time finding, tweaking and learning.
You might say "well that's their problem" because they are lazy etc, yeah it might be their problem, but it's also Nicks when they choose to go to IBOT because they have all the functions on the interface itself.


I look at it from a marketing perspective, not on a "well I can do it in LUA, and I know how to do it so idc" approach.
This is not aimed at you specifically @Atheist, this is aimed at everyone who replies with "OMG YOU CAN DO THIS WITH LUA" sometimes it's better to use a LUA for things, but other times when it's something people would use every time they bot, then why the **** not make it an option on the interface, it seems so counter productive.

Ok so LUA does this fine right? I use it every time i hunt demons, Goroma, many spawns I use this for, and so would hundreds of people.
Wouldn't having "auto amulet/ring replacer" on the interface attract more ppl?

I also understand that Nick might be very busy and must prioritise things, so my suggestions may not be on the top of the list, obviously... but replying with "Just use LUA" instead of "You can use a LUA for this but yes, it would be awesome if this could be implemented as an option at some point" is annoying as hell.
Not because they don't agree with me, it's because i personally feel that even though I express myself strongly, and may seem like a douche, my suggestions and ideas would greatly help the bot. IMO.

So, for all you guys who just think LUAS should be the answer for everything, I'll make a short list of some easy things I think should be made as an option, and u tell me what you think.

Auto equip amulet (Amulet ID) - [X] - Condition manager - Hold YES/NO? or Equip if less than x HP/MANA and take off if above X HP/MANA
Auto equip Ring (Ring ID) - [X] - Condition manager - Hold YES/NO? or Equip if less than x HP/MANA and take off if above X HP/MANA.
Mas Res/UH alarm (%heal) - [X] - Simply added underneath the other alarms in the "alarms" section.

So that's just a simple 4 things i believe would be used VERY OFTEN and could easily be a selected option within the bot instead of loading 4 LUAS.
(I also heard that apparently people with shitty PC'S start to lag after a number of LUAS are loaded.

Well yeah ofc a more user-friendly interface is always desirable but like you said before; IBot's got some functions that Xeno still cant mimic and wont be able to until we get more flexibility out of LUA itself, which based on recent updates, it's the priority atm; making safe and hardcore scripts like with Neo is pretty hard, and it'll still be until more functions are implemented LUA-wise, for example, things as targeting and attack-specifics like spells are really hard to acomplish with what we got, and I think that should be priority over an "improved" interface.

Although I do agree on the marketing point, and an alarm system in this times of dispair would be a smart move. I lack the knowledge in the subject and Idk how long it'd take to implement something like this, if it wouldnt take that long I'd support this but if it did, maybe time is better spent elsewhere.

EDIT after reading yours: Yeah you are right about that, atm I'm with 3 chars, with at least 8 scripts each and half are basic everyday stuff that would be sweet fore everyone if they were interfaced, again, Idk if it's hard to be done but if it is I'd rather have more functions than improved current ones, but yeah, this shit is a must, it'd make the bot alot more atractive, I wanna see this community grow.
