Once the email and password has been changed, then the account is secure. Is this correct? Also, Is it possible to get a name change?

Your suggestion is what I would have done anyway, most likely. Although, I never read anything about no name changes.
Name changes aren't assisting in account changes, we facilitate name changes all the time.
