Swimming is an excellent way to work out. Using your arms to pull through the water, using your legs to kick.

"When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful"
best advice I can give to you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsSC2vx7zFQ
Watch that video, and any other motivational video for that matter. I find they really do help. Good choice on quitting drinking pop, it's all the same, light, diet, whatever. All equally as bad for you. Eat healthy, stay determined, don't lose focus or hope. You may not see results after a day, a week, a month, even a few months for that matter. Dont lose hope, continue to work hard and you WILL see results, guaranteed. Good luck on your journey

You just have to have a good goal. I am 14 year old, i a 1.73 and weighted 86kg. In 3 months i had a cruise of 15 yeard old ppl and i wanted to at least kiss a girl so i decided i was going to go with a good looking. I went to the gym the 90 days from the moment i started till the day of cruise. I lost 19 kg and went from 25% body fat to 9%. At the cruise i felt so fucking good, chilled with my friend and the best of all GOT A BLOWJOB from a nice girl xD When you have a goal that really inspires you theres no mental /physical limits! Thats why i recommend you find a goal yo want to achieve and DO IT! No excuses, no shit. "NO PAIN NO GAIN" thats my favorite quote!!
    Good Luck

Well last time I drank coke was on Saturday, next time I'll drink coke NEVER!
I've been eating healthy, I can really feel my body lighter and my stomach feels way lighter. I'm working Monday-Friday 3 hours per/day and Sunday's from 10 AM - 3 PM, so this really helps me get away from junk food, I eat a healthy shake at 6:40 AM, then at 10:30 I eat a tuna sandwich or a chicken breast sandwich, this is with the healthy bread, then at 2:40 I eat a chicken breast, or chicken soup, stuff like that, then I go and run etc. at 3:50 and when I come back I eat fruit, and like today at 7:20 I had tuna with potatoes for dinner.

I haven't read through everything in here, but man keep it up! The results are the most overwhelming thing ever. I've been on the path you're on and I cannot stress enough how good it feels when you finally get to the point you set your goal at.

I went from 98.9 kgs to 68 kgs starting as a 'new year resolution' on January 1st 2013. It took me 8-9 months of 'hard' work.

All I did was canceling all the sweets and sugar and junk food. I went from cakes, cookies, candies to fresh veg and fruit and whole grain foods. It was a strict plan, but hell it was worth it!

And with that nutrition my goal was to workout everyday. But not the 'gym' workout, i.e. weights and stuff. More like every day cardio. I've started with walking of course. Running would bring too much stress to my joints at that weight. So I just walked for about an hour every day. But not that Sunday walk, but more of like brisk walk. To get your heart rate up of course.

I did all of that for a few months and then gradually went from walking to running/jump roping. And eventually I hit my ideal weight of 68 kgs. I got used to the RIGHT nutrition without that damn junk food that made me a fat ass in the first place.

I've had no problem maintaining weight since then. There's also no such thing as 'extra skin'. Keep in mind though, I kept nutrition and workout habits to this day and it works like magic.

And just recently I've started to explore weight/strength training and I'll probably get into that. Not that hardcore thing, but just to gain few extra pounds of muscle.

Remember, if you want to lose weight, do the cardio every day. If you want to gain muscle, hit the weights. Both are doable at the same time, but man it's hard. It's very hard to hit that right nutrition. If your primary goal is to lose weight my advice would be to do whatever you want as long as it gets your heart rate up for at least 30 minutes a day. Do things that are the least stressful for youir joints.

After few months, when you'll drop those globs of fat, you'll be ready for dem weights. But of course I'll agree, strenght exercises never hurt, even if someone is overweight.

Good luck man, this one is going under my bookmarks. I'll keep an eye on you. Good luck!
