Tip: When you read on the world board; "Oriental ships sighted! A trader for exotic creature products may currently be visiting Carlin, Ankrahmun or Liberty Bay." Then you know hes just around the corner

I believe Towncryer says it in Thais, might be wrong :P
Go to any temple, say hi, adventurer's stone, yes. Right click on the stone and you'll be teleported to a little house, a few sqm's away from you there is a board with notes on it, just right click on it and look on server log to see the current world changes.
yeah the town cryer will let you know everything its worth just stopping by everyday ;p
