Paypal Charge Backs

Hey folks.

No idea if it's the right board but couldn't find anything else to ask this.

I'm selling an OT + some unique files only few people have, I have an unverified paypal account that I just made for this right purpose.

I'm planning to use this money in League of Legends.

Let's say the buyer sends the money to my paypal account, right after he does so I use this cash to get Riot Points in League, then after the time limit of Paypal (if it has any) the guy decides to charge back the money from my paypal but there's no cash in it I've already used it in game goods.

What will happen to my unverified paypal account? How will the guy manage the charge back? Is it safe if he does it as a "gift"?

Please help me in hand! I truly am worried!

I think that if it is a gift, you cannot chargeback, unless you call paypal stating that your account was hacked, but most times then you will just get a response saying your account is your responsibility, and you should have called paypal when you noticed it got hacked, but in short, if it is a gift im 75% sure, that you cannot charge it back.

Good questions. First off, sending as a gift is a bad idea. If PayPal suspects it's for a transaction, they'll lock your account.
Sending as a gift does not protect you from chargebacks, especially if they initiated it from their bank.

If they chargeback and win, the transaction will be reversed. If you already removed the profits from the payment, your account will go into the negatives.
While your account is in the negatives you cannot obviously the only way for it to be usable again is to add money from your bank or another PayPal account back to 0.

If you plan on never using PayPal again, especially that account, you can risk it, but be aware that they may lock any future accounts you make.
Your best bet, if possible, would be Western Union if it's a large transaction.

Skrill is better than PayPal, and Western Union is better than Skrill (for sellers). PayPal is convenient but risky if you're trading with people you do not know.

Be aware of that if you have a negative balance they might send the "local dept collecting company".

You need to register your bank details to paypal if you want to be verified i believe, not 100% on this. But if this is the case and they chargeback while your bank account is still attached to your paypal, then even if no funds are available in your paypal, they will withdraw the amount from your bank regardless of the funds available leaving you over draft if you havent got enough in your bank acc.

I heard of another company which works with paypal to avoid situations like this, oranjo i think. @ppgab <<<< he knows more about how oranjo works.

Or just use skrill/western union.
