    for genius ppl and programmers help with this dilemma

    sorry to waste ur time but i rly need help with this and i thought some genius and programmers are here in the forum it might be easy thing for them

    i am organizing a tournament for a game for the best 8 players in my country
    it is a league and it is played in couples in which all couples need to meet the others
    ex : player 1 , p2 has to meet 3-4 and 3-5 and 3-6 and 3-7 and 3-8 and 4-5 ,4-6 4-7 , 4-8 ,5-6 , 5-7 ,5-8, 6-7, 6-8, 7-8
    then player 1-3 has to meet 2-4 , 2-5 etc
    this is gonna be a total of 210 game so lets assume 1-2 vs 3-4 , on the other table 5-6 vs 7-8 ( this = 2 games = 1 round ) so this is total 105 rounds

    we want the tournament to be 7 rounds /day for 15 days
    in which every player daily has to meet all players twice and play with him once example : player 1 will play 7 games / day , one game with ( 2-3-4-5-6-7-8) and meet versus each player twice

    i think it is mathematically possible , but my brain is about to blow up
    please if u think u can help post something for me , or if u read that and think someone can help tag him please

    I don't really understand how it would be 210 matches to be honest.

    Are there fixed couples? like player 1 always plays together with player 2 and needs to meet the couples p3p4, p5p6 and p7p8? - 4 couples which would result in 6 matches.

    Or does every player play together with all of the others and play against any other possible couple? - Meaning 28 possible couples and 378 matches

    no p1p2 vs p3p4 , p3p5 ,p3p6 ,p3p7 ,p3p8 , p4p5 , p4p6 until they reach p7p8 >> total 15 game
    then p1p3 vs p2p4 until reach p7p8 total 15 game
    p1p4 vs p2p3 ,p2p5 and so on 15 game too
    p1p8 and so on which mean p1 play 15 game with every player and same for every single player

    which mean every player will play 105 game and i want him to finish on 15 day , every player plays 7 games /day every game with different player , and he should meet p2 and p3 an p4 and p5 and p6 and p7 and p8 twice each
    i hope i have explained
    btw it is 28 couples right but only 210 match because some games cant be played like p1p2 vs p2p3 ( p2 cant play on both sides at same time )
    btw are u smeg ? if so welcome back man

    Possible matches that can be played simultaniously can be defined manually pretty easily as well:
    1234 - 5678
    1324 - 5768
    1423 - 5867
    etc..

    It's quite time consuming though to define which matches can be played in the same round. Don't know if it also can be done automatically, since I'm not a genius after all

    Would be nice to know if there's some sort of formula to check if there are multiple numbers within a value though.

    I dont see why doing it so hard?
    Just make 1 schedule and repeat that untill everyone has been 1 time that number

    Here is a schedule with the numbers.
    For example on day 1 you appoint like:
    1 = person a
    2 = person b
    3 = person c
    etc
    On day 2 you switch every person and his number, so:
    1 = person b
    2 = person c
    3 = person d
    etc

    Need a private build script? PM me.
