Whether you get to Rookgaard, skipping the tutorial or coming from Dawnport, you'll have a magic level of 2. It's odd, but I noticed it after making a new character on Rookgaard several weeks ago.
It was a bug. People were making knights in the adventure place, throwing the EQ back through the door to a noob and transferring it to rook. Its now fixed

I have ml 2 on my 100+ rookstayer aswell, so old chars got it aswell. I brought some runes too xD firefields etc.

Hmm, can you read? Cause I believe I said "All i seen was posts about people asking how it was done" - meaning, the page it took me to when I opened the thread, was to the page of people asking how it was done. Now, re-read all of this and then rethink it buddy ^^
