Id get at least a 1TB HDD, the price is hardly any different as you pointed out and it will last. (Personally I no longer buy new HDDs smaller then 1TB anymore.)

About your cpu. Again it depends on your needs but the FX-6300 will likely handle anything you will throw at it. Are you doing any CPU intensive tasks such as compiling very large programs, computing math problems, solving algorithms, or running any CAD software? If you answered no to all those then the FX-6300 is a great CPU for you, it can handle games and daily "multi-tasking" computer work. Personally I think the FX-6300 CPU sold by AMD is a great choice, most people dont NEED 8 cores and a $150+ processor.

Yea, 320 is a nice one aswell. I got that one myself. When it comes to playing games like Shadows of Mordor you'll def. need a good CPU. Also you can "unpark" the cores so everything will use every core, not just 2 or 4.
I got the Samsung EVO 840 120GB, why 120GB? Cuz its lifetime span is better than the 128GB.
And about the HDD, I got a 3TB HDD, and It's nearly full while having OS and the most games I play on the SSD. JUST the SSD with 120GB is kinda sucky, since sooner or later it will be full, for SURE. Invest those 40 bucks in a 1TB, think about it

I agree with everyone else about getting Windows 7 over Windows 8, especially on a desktop machine. At least until Windows 10 comes out. Personally, I would wait and save up for a SSD, a better CPU, and a better graphics card. Your setup is fine for your budget, but you'll be kicking yourself for not spending a little more money for better parts. But, at the end of the day, you should only spend as much as you're comfortable with, and on the parts you want.

That's what I'm thinking of doing. No to all those questions haha. Honestly the only game I play right now is Tibia - I'd like to have the options to expand.

That is a good point, saves some money haha. I've never actually used Windows 8.

I'm really only looking to spend within this budget. I can add a few hundred more dollars if necessary, but I'd rather not. From what I can see, the GTX 750Ti is a good graphics card for what I'm going to be using, so I'll probably stick with that. I'm going to add the 120GB SSD for the OS matched with a 1TB HDD for storage/whatever.

Do you think it's worth it to go with the FX 8320 or 8350 over the FX 6300? Will it be a big noticeable difference? It cost $119 for the 6300, $169 for the 8320 or $199 for the 8350. If it's really worth it, I can spend the extra dough.

I'd like to help you build one. What's your ideal budget and maximum budget? Give me two numbers to work with.

Also, it would be wise to wait. Maxwell GPU's were just announced and there will likely be more released next month (i.e. 950Ti).
    Recent Trades:
Sold a 450+ EK to Omggg.
    Sold a 400+ RP and 165+ EK to Poppy218.
Sold 100kk+ in Rowana (Open PVP) to many members.
Bought characters from Baarj, HonkaPonka, and several others.
Bought 520kk+ from Wobbz, PunktG, Ghazkyt, Reemow, and many others.

Help deter scams! Share these warning signs with your friends.

Ideally I'd like to spend 500-600$ (for all the parts, excluding the OS/monitor). The maximum would be 800-900$ (again, excluding OS/monitor).

The reason I want to purchase now is because I am moving to a remote location for work and need something to do. I highly doubt there will be computer stores around there and I'd like to go in and purchase. I suppose I could buy via new egg or something, though.

    Thanks for your help!

As far as graphics cards, I'm not the ideal person to ask. I haven't built, or thought about building, a computer in years, and I don't game so my Macbook does everything I need it to (school stuff, programming, Internet browsing). I do know that you're probably better off buying parts from Newegg or TigerDirect than your local computer store.
