Reported the GM to CipSoft customer support and won the case.



They do exist, and they do play Tibia on their own private characters. Do not be so naive to believe they aren't hiding in plain site, because they are.

I still dont quite get "why" they unbanned you, what reason did you give them? a GM banned you for his own selfish purpose? or that Gm isnt a automatic detection tool and therefor it was unjustified.
Care to explain a bit?

I wasn't AFK-dicing. We spoke. I just didn't realize who he was until I had been teleported.

Just to clarify: I was not banned. My entire account was deleted on the spot.

To be honest, I'm not certain as to why they unscheduled my account deletion. I wrote a formal email to customer support and they replied within 24 hours. There was an investigation which took about 24 hours. The entire matter was settled in less than 72 hours. What took place during this investigation, I do not know. Perhaps the GM did not give a sufficient report of the events that took place to support his punishment. If I had to guess why, I would say it was because he approached me on his private character and not his GM. Technically, he violated Tibia rule (Rule 4a) Pretending to be CipSoft). For all I knew, it could have been some noob trying to act like a badass.

EDIT: The reason I am replying to this thread so late is because I thought my email was a lost cause, and I did not check my email until recently. I was just as shocked as any of you may be. Maybe I got the one good person working that day to handle my report? I don't know.
