@jikoe,
Happy to help. If you do get all of those parts, post back after you've built it. You may need some new fans, too.
Your current Graphics: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gp...GeForce+GT+220
The 750Ti Graphics: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gp...rce+GTX+750+Ti
I'm betting you will be surprised about the performance.![]()

I was thinking of going with this build, what do you think? Any thing you'd change? If so, why?
The new case may not come with a lot of fans. Buy the new case first, see if it comes with fans.
@Byrd: What's your maximum budget? It looks like a pretty good build.

- CPU: Intel Core i7-5820k [+$375] (Amazon)
- GPU: EVGA EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5 [+$390] (Amazon)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte Intel LGA 2011-3 Gaming Wi-Fi Intel/Killer LAN ATX Motherboard [+$345] (Amazon)
- PSU: Corsair RM Series 750W ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Gold (Fully Modular) [+$120] (Amazon)
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 2400MHz [+$183] (Amazon)
- Optional: Storage (Primary): 256GB Samsung 850 PRO [+$185] (Amazon)
Sub-total: $1413 (without SSD).
Taxes: Unknown
Total: $1413~ (This is the best system you can get within your budget.)
Build Notes: This will be able to play ANY game on the highest settings @ 1080p for at least 2 years. If you need to go down in price a bit, I would not sacrifice any of the components except RAM. 8GB of 1600MHz would suffice and will cost much less. The optional SSD is a great option for speed. It will make your PC lightning quick when loading anything. The 5820k will allow you to multitask like a king. You will be able to do EVERYTHING you want with that 6-core CPU.

I'd make a few changes to your build:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K [+$215] (Amazon)
- Motherboard: ASUS Z97-A ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 [+$152] (Amazon)
- PSU: Corsair CX Series 750 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Bronze [+$90] (Amazon)
- Optional: PSU: Corsair RM Series 750W ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Gold (Fully Modular) [+$120] (Amazon)
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro Series Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1866MHz [+$99] (Amazon)
Sub-total: $922~ with your other components.
Taxes: Unknown
Build Notes: The 4690k is an unlocked CPU that will allow you to overclock. That AMD GPU will chomp up wattage, but does give you the best performance for your money at that price, which is why I chose a larger PSU. The 1866MHz memory is only $9 more, and it has a higher frequency, which will only help. The motherboard I chose is a very "future-proof" component. It is of the latest and greatest of LGA 1150 motherboards. You never want to go 'cheap' on the motherboard. The optional PSU I listed above is a much more efficient PSU overall, but it is more money. That's up for you to decide.
