    @J.Dre

Thought i'd update you on what I got for my desktop.

Computer Case: Fractal Design Define R5 (Black Pearl)
Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition
    CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K
    CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
    GPU: Asus Strix GTX 970
    PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 850W
    RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury White - 2x8GB, 1866MHz CL10
    SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 250GB
    Network Card: Asus PCE-N15

'Tis simply a beast. Haven't really had too much time to try any heavy workloads, but it doesn't make any noise whatsoever when it comes to my everyday usage.
Not too sure how much it cost, and tbh i'd rather not think about it .

With that in mind, I'll put together something for around $1500, and that should leave you some room for inflation/taxes.

    • Computer Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 450D [+$110] (Amazon)
    • CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K (8MB Cache, up to 4.40 GHz) [+$335] (Amazon)
    • CPU Liquid Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H80i GT Performance [+$100] (Amazon)
    • GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5 [+$330] (Amazon)
    • Motherboard: ASUS ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Z97-PRO [+$210] (Amazon)
    • PSU: Corsair RM Series 650 Watt ATX/EPS 80PLUS Gold-Certified [+$99] (Amazon)
    • RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB 2x8GB DDR3 2400MHz [+$155] (Amazon)
    • Optical Drive: LG Internal UH12NS30 BD-ROM Blu-ray Optical Drive [+$45] (Amazon)
    • Hard Drive (Storage): Western Digital 1 TB SATA III 7200 RPM [+$70] (Amazon)
    • Optional SSD (Primary): Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5" SATA III [+$110] (Amazon)

    Sub-total: $1564 (with SSD).
    Taxes: Unknown

Notes: I would recommend you start with these specifications and go from there. The motherboard I chose has great reviews, and it also has built in A/C WiFi, which will come in handy. The water cooler is a bit more expensive but it is a premium cooler (a new version).
Couldnt find that op drive but atm without it its on 1730~

Looks pretty good. Good choice on the Strix 970 and 4790k. That 4790k should do you well for years to come. It's a pretty powerful processor, and can be overclocked like a champ. Don't push it too hard, though. You don't want to brick your system.

I figured it would be more expensive for you, that's why I tried to stay around $1500 USD.

You should find a blu-ray player. That one has a lot of reviews saying it's loud.

    Try this.

I'm curious, what do you intend to use your PC for?

At what resolution? Is aesthetics important to you? Do you want a quiet PC? Why do you need an optical drive? Are you comfortable without a SSD, do you need a new hard drive, could you take the one from your current PC?
Do you want a case with a window? One without will make less sound. Do you hate LEDs, do you love LEDs?

I doubt you need the i7 4790K, i5 4690K should be enough and costs 900~ SEK less. The H80i is like 1000 SEK and the fans are very loud, you probably want to replace them.

I don't think you need 16GB RAM, especially at 2400MHz. You definitely don't need a 2100 SEK motherboard.

The RM750 costs 5$ more than the RM650.

You can cut down on a lot of things and put some of the money on a 1440p/4k screen, 980 or other equipment.
If you don't care for aesthetics and a quiet environment, I can put something together. If you do care, I need more information, pick out a case and what color you're going for and your needs (hdd, sdd, optical drive, monitor etc)
