The scammer could just order a new conf key to his address to get a new rec key, voiding the old rec key. It's still worth trying your old rec key though to make sure it doesn't work.

If he did and hasn't ordered a new one you should still be able to get into it. And rook it! Don't let him get away with the account & your money bro!
