I've just completed the first phase of a large forum cleanup.
- 3,200 Threads pruned from Scripts section (any thread without activity in 700 days)
- 10,500 Threads pruned from Trading section (any thread without activity in 365 days)
- 3,500 Threads prune from Bug Reports section (any thread without activity in 365 days)
- 5,000 Threads from XenoBot Forums General section (any thread without activity in 365 days)
- 2,300 Threads from XenoBot General section (any thread without activity in 365 days)
Sometime before the end of this year, this prune will continue. In the next phase, We'll be pruning down nearly the entire Scripts section. There will be a 2-week warning to all scripting teams so they can prepare to remake their threads.
This pruning is a part of an ongoing effort to move XenoBot forward into a new, greater time in it's life. We're at a point where we must get rid of old scripts that are broken, bugged, inefficient, badly coded, unsupported, etc, so that new customers aren't plagued with a wealth of options that almost all lead down the road to a bad experience. Our goal is to make sure everything accessible to new users will be high-quality and high-efficiency, with an emphasis on ease of use and no dependencies.
