Let's Talk About 11.0

To be honest, I'm quite happy about this new client. Because the main reason for me and many close friends of mine stop playing RL and tibia in general is because of bots. I've always hated botting in RL.

Now before you guys come and complain that what I am doing on this forum and so on, is that I bot - yes. But on OT, I would never bot on RL since that honestly destroys the purpose of the game. I see OT as another way of playing tibia, I play on hexera which I mostly cares about PKing for which I use bot to get to a reasonable level; also gather rares...

If I'd were to play on RL, it would be a complete different story as I would with my friends quest, hunt, pk, wars and so on. Which if bots get involved with that it completely ruins the fun for me and everyone else. It's a unfair advantage. I don't blame you all for botting.

We were always a big group of players playing the game going on a fun adventure togheter. Sadly since almost everyone quit now only one friend of mine still plays the game with me.
I've also never used bot in a pk fight as I hate it myself when people use it so I ain't going to bother sinking down to their level.

Though I've always been fascinated within the world of bots. It's so impressive to see how a simple (not simple) program can basically make the character do what you're basically doing.

There's also one other major reason I'm happy that this new client is coming and the doom of the bots, which is steam - yes steam. Steam have always had a very strict policy agains't cheats, and they were well aware of tibia and it's problems with bots which basically is cheating. Therefor they will not allow tibia within the steam store. So steam told them that they need to get rid of the big problem they have if they wanted to be published in steam. Tibia knows though that Steam is probably the only hope it has right now of getting back a strong and big playerbase since they're slowly dying from lack of players, also a big reason since they're dying out is because of the botters aka cheaters. It is how it is, sadly.

Well you may be right, but now most of players are botters, as we keep this game alive. If botters quit I don't think that for every bot pacc account they will get pacc players.
I think client v11 will both get rid of botters and get some players back, but not sufficient

If CIP is so stupid that they actually try to kill the botting part of Tibia, needless to say that the game WILL die.

Hah! If there is something that I can promise you, that is that tibia will NOT die after they get rid of all the botters, I'm quite sure that the player count will rise like a rocket; due to the fact that tibia will be released onto steam as soon as they get rid of all the botters. Tibia is currently on greenlight and has been awhile, the reason why it hasn't come out to the store yet is because of the botters, which is also looked at as CHEAT - which steam has a STRICT policy agaisn't. And the fact that tibia hasn't really done any major changes to their part of dooming the botters will not change steams view of it. And as soon as tibia gets out on steam it will get great marketing and ALOT of new and old players will return as many also quit due to the fact that people bot.

And oh, i'd just like to point something out...
mounts and outfits for real money isn't really pay2win... pay2win is considered when you use real money to buy something ingame which gives you a ADVANTAGE over other who have not payed money. I don't really see how you're getting a advantage by buying a mount or pots...

Yep its hypocritical but I agree with Zezztah. Have you ever tried to chase someone with Magebot? Bots took the fun out of the game. One person in a leading guild botting 5 good spawns 24/7. Level 500's that can't heal manually? It's a joke. Full Bot guilds like Elenco Fabuluso that bot the characters high then power abuse the manual players. It will be a fun few weeks for everyone who can play without Bots and hell for the people that can't. I'd prefer the game without bots but if you can't beat 'em join them.

Well, if Cipsoft decides to disable the current classic client then it will be very interesting how several servers/leading guilds want to hold their powers. There's alot of people who don't even login once the bot doesn't work e.g. because of Updates. It would be funny to invade and takeover some of those servers

I'm very happy of current situation,

I used to play Tibia between 2005 and 2010, then I had a 5 years break and played " Retro-PVP " which was far far far away from that what I was expecting... Due "unlimited" cash it was not possible to hunt anyone in the end, even with huge team due lack of frags ( all of Red Skulls were skull bashed straight away ).

After a year of non-botted Tibia, we will get back to good old days = wars without war modes, lack of money, people who "deserved" to be high level will be in the top..

Im planning to get back to play together with 30 other friends, and to be fair with you all this is only one ulimate solution to keep this game alive - get rid of ALL SOPHISTICATED botters..

By the time you could have been botting shitty places such as Apes, Chakoyes, Rotworms etc etc for money was kinda fair - those days, that cash makers were making enough money for war purposes.. in current day when I see 300 level paladins making 100k/cash per hour profit is quite sick, destroying deeply this game...

Would be the best for tibia to become free of Botters but i think this will not happen als Long als CIP doesn't take it REALLY serious. They can get ride of it easy of they want to.. I Hope for 11.0 but I don't believe there will change anything

Lets See but i would love the old manual hunting days to come back!
