You should ask the owner to purchase a confirmation key for you. This will give you a brand new recovery key.

You cannot order more than 1 key at a time, so he must wait for the first to arrive before ordering another. After it's registered in your name, you should order another one, just in case. I sometimes order two, just to be extra safe, depending on the account. Once it's registered in your name and you have a brand new recovery key, it should be safe.

Nice thread but this point is not true.
-Usually buying conf keys from my local reseller, once cuz of mistake he ordered 2 conf keys to single account, received both and both was valid.
So its possible that false seller order 2 conf keys, give 1 of them to buyer, new owner change registration, ordering new own confirmation key, create new recovery key from it, and still getting hacked like 4 months later.
Fact is account stay on his data so he could order just new conf key but he might lost items/get banned or rooked character before getting new key.

So the only safe way is to buy accounts that:
-have no recovery key ordered in payment history for last 6 months,
-seller could provide letter / screenshot/scan with used confirmation key to check if it was really used (since working just once),
-buy from trusted seller that check point 1 & 2 since most ppl don't even know they could check payment history and think that once registration is change account stay safe

Yeah you can use pay pal securely if your knowledgeable about Taking down information screen shotting the trade agreements with proof that its the person, Pay pay will acknowledge both sides. I had a friend who had this issue. So its important to screenshot every agreement trade with this person dates of transaction.. excc.

Add something about too low price or something .
Example: someone selling 1kk on rl tibia for €10 = 100% scam but peopple might fall for it because they think they found a nice deal

I've sadly heard tons of mixed things about the rec key codes and stuff but I was also told in the past few months Tibia also posted about how that's no longer possible to do, but I am not sure on that 100%.

Also it's just really hard anyways , always a risk regardless of who you decide to trade with. I've seen more people scammed by IRL friends in my 15 years in Tibia then re-sellers.

Paypal douse not allow digital good sales threw their service, so if you sent via Friend/Family and then you say the person scammed you for a Video game account you'll hear a huge lecture from them and even are in risk of banishment. This is just my EXP with Paypal over the past few years.

[*]Remember that a confkey is valid for 6 months nowdays. The activation order doesn't matter when buying multiple keys. Which means, if you order 1, and 2 days later order another, and decides to activate the first one that arrived. The second one is still valid, and the other way around. Due to that, the account isn't safe from hacks untill 6 months after the purschase. You buy it (30 days), + another 6 months, as the seller could as well have ordered a new key to his adress on day 29.

I got a question, If instead of using the first on, he use the second one, the first on is still valid?
