You'd be surprised how shitty the show is compared to the books.
And yes, I do enjoy the show, but the books are way better - as always. The first season was the only really following the books, rest is either shortened or changed.

I haven't read the books but, based on the other stuff I've rerad, there are some significant differences. One that I found interesting is that Jon Snow fought the Thenn's when Bran was in the tower, not Tormund's group. Another is that Theon didn't have that iron born guy whispering in his ear, it was a captured Ramsay Snow acting like Reek, his late servant (who he is brain washing Theon to believe he is, as a replacement for his fallen nigguh).

Also, am I the only one who found the Thenns to be badass? I know they eat people and shit, but I wanna see them in battle. The leader had this very "I don't give a fuck, I will kill you all"-esq attitude in his body language. Great acting imo.

No it's not, it's the tall guy from The IT Crowd who kissed Roy on the ass. We don't see Ramsay until he takes Theon to the Dreadfort (I will one day name my house The Dreadfort.. so dope) in the show.

In the book, it is Ramsay snow, who sent his servant Reek out in his clothes to die as him, and is posing to be Reek, imprisoned by Ser Roderick.

Same. Definitely not even close to my favorites (give it up for Tyrion, Dany, and Arya?), but they definitely have this sinister attitude about them that seems like they will have a fun evolution into future events.
