  • If SSB comes in first, they won't meet SSW until the finals. (This is the popular prediction for final game)
  • If C9 comes in first, they will meet SSW in the quartfinals and avoid all other korean teams.
  • If LMQ comes in first and C9 in second, the winner of the two will go on the face SSW in quarterfinals. This is more likely, and, less preferable than the following.
  • If LMQ comes in second and C9 comes in first, the winner of the two will only face Chinese teams until meeting SSW/SSB in the finals.

This is all assuming, of course, SSW beats TSM. I'm, first and foremost, a C9 fan, but when it comes to Worlds, TSM and LMQ have a place in my heart. I'd love to see TSM win that match, but it is unlikely. They are arguably less suited for worlds than LMQ and C9, though the three are very close competitively.

LMQ is NA. They may not be FROM here, but they are a critical part of our LCS. Look at Season 3 NA teams: C9 stomped everyone and, when worlds came around, nobody in NA nobody could touch OMG, RC, or even FNC.

There are two major factors that made NA as good as it is now:
  • TSM's roster changes (mostly Bjergerking)
  • LMQ coming over

Without these two things, many of the NA teams would not have grown at the rate they did. If you look at the spring split, summer split, and NA championships, you'll see how close C9, LMQ, and TSM are competitively. Competition breeds improvement. LMQ is partially responsible for the growth NA has seen, and they deserve that credit. They're stomping worlds for NA and for China, not for either or.
