I hope by having both NA & EU servers it'll help reduce lag for everyone, as long as they choose the server that's fastest for them.

Evan over at OTLand here (already posted there), this looks like it has an unbelievable amount of potential.

I usually despise OTServers that use the Real Tibia maps, but with exceptions; like unbelievable staffing, solid commitment to make it near or exact copy of the original, bringing additional never-before-seen features (flash client), you're bound to incredible success; unlike those repetitive 8.6, half-missing quests, buggy areas, crap servers.

I like the work you guys have brought to the table, keep it up!

Thanks Evan, you couldn't have said it better, this is one of the finest posts I've ever seen.

8.6 is really outdated and I'm ultimately unsure why there's such a huge following for it. We wanted to get away from that, hopefully other people will want to as well.

Will there be any kind of shop to buy stuff with real money?

Yes Mike, there will be a paid shop.

So far the basis of the shop is simple:

• Micro-transactions:
  (Keep the shop clean, simple and cheap.)
• Tibia's paid outfits:
  (Death Herald, Ranger, Conjuruer, Champion, etc.)
• Tibia's paid mounts:
  (Blackpelt, Black Stag, Jade Pincher, etc.)
• Obtainable in-game items:
  (Boots of Haste, Paladin Armor, Blade of Corruption, Spellbook of Vigilance, etc.)

There will be special items purchasable in the shop too of course, you'll see things like sex changes, world transfers, name changes & more.

Aside from the purchasing, there will also be special items rewarded to those of you that spend an accumulative amount like Shadow Draptor, Crimson Ray, Entrepreneur outfit, Jersey outfit & more. These items / mounts / outfits will not be obtainable in-game nor directly from our shop, they will only be awarded through accumulative purchases.

I've been tracking Josh's stream now and than, looking real good! All that work for those quests that are never going to be done anyway haha

Haha, so basically what's happened so far is... We've taken all quests in real Tibia and made three different lists.

1) Every "simple chest" quest has been added to the server. If its something like going out to Outlaw Camp and dragging a barrel to a location, dropping a power ring on a table and pulling a few levers, we've got it. If its as simple as going down into Thais Lighthouse and picking up a dark shield, we've got it. Everyone "simple chest" quest has been added and checked to make sure they're accessible and working.

2) All NPC driven quests have been sorted into two groups, quests that are required to have in-game before launching the BETA (Inquisition, Pits of Inferno, Blessed Stake, etc) and quests that we decide are less needed (Venore Daily Tasks, A Scatterbrained Sorcerer, Against the Spider Cult, etc). All of the quests that we decided were required to have before BETA will be implemented and tested before the launch of the BETA.

3) All remaining quests (the ones we previously decided aren't worth squeezing in before the beta) will be added after the BETA launch, they simply have lesser priority than other major features of the server.

Good luck and I'll for sure give it a try. I just seriously hope that this wont turn into a server where aslong as u spend a shitload of real life cash u will gain such an advantage over people that don't.

I guess in the long term this would ruin the server. Let most of the things you buy be purely cosmetic. For example mounts and outfits.
And perhaps items wich are obtainable in game aswell. Just dont let it be that you can buy a 2nd promotion or better weapons and wands only with RL cash.

Yeah i've read that. I see most of the options are purely cosmetic and the buyable items are mainly "normal items". And the accumelitive items, what should I think of? Teddy bears, vampire dolls, annihilation doll, or a sword with 5 extra sword fighting, or a wand with extra damage and or extra magic levels?
